Forty Acres
Credit:Ray Van Horn, Jr.
Forty Acres is the band that stemmed from John Allen's solo act. Allen performs all but a few instruments on Forty Acres' debut album "Broken Promises." With a sound derived from AC/DC and Stooges-driven garage rock, Forty Acres provides an upbeat, edgy form of hard rock that landed the band on the 2006 WHFStival lineup and a spot on 98 Rock's playlist. Forty Acres is currently tracking a new album with 98 Rock giving "Let's RockNRoll" heavy play.
Lineup: John Allen, guitar/vocals; Jason Heiser, drums; Vic Carerra, guitar; Anthony Arambula, bass; Nick Kay, guitar
