Morphius was founded by David Andler in California back in 1993 with money from an old band. Morphius moved to Baltimore in 1994 and soon established itself as a place for struggling bands to release and distribute their records on their own terms, without losing their artistic integrity. Morphius also has its own recording studio, Lord Baltimore Recording, where bands can record and mix records at an affordable rate, as well as its own distribution center.
Morphius’ releases can be found in any traditional record store, iTunes, Amazon and Morphius.com, which features more than 10,000 records for sale.
