Atomic Twang
Genre: Alt country, pop punk and rock and roll
Artists: The Barn Burners (pictured), Pulaski, Lawnchair, Secret Crush Society
Atomic Twang was founded by Atomic Books owner Benn Ray in 2003. It started the same way many indie labels do. He was friends with a lot of bands, and wanted to provide a way to distribute their music. Atomic Twang initially began as an alt country and Americana label, but eventually branched out into pop punk and straight-up rock and roll. Atomic Twang specializes in bands that have been around for a while, but aren’t a part of a scene. The relatively small roster makes Atomic Twang more of a collective than a label. It is there to help the artist.
Atomic Twang records can be found at AtomicBooks.com, Atomic Books, The Sound Garden and at live shows.
