Creative Capitalism can't be classified as a traditional record label, nor does it want to be. It began in 2004, when founder Peter Quinn self-published a book called "Friends of Friends of Friends" that featured a CD-ROM of music. After the book was published, he decided to start putting out records because it gave him an outlet for his music, and was much easier than a book. The artists have complete control of every aspect of their work. Creative Capitalism provides them with a channel to release their work into the world. After taking a break for several years, distribution is getting back on track.
You can find Creative Capitalism records on CreativeCapitalism.net, Fina-Music.com, Morphius.com and Dischord.com.
