DJ Class
Having helped shape B-more Club, DJ Class has the provenance to back up what he proclaims on his first national hit: "I'm the Shit." The remix featuring Lil' Jon ("Yee-ahya!") reached Billboard's charts in April.
Class joined Baltimore's Unruly Records nearly 20 years ago at age 19. Since then, he's produced club killers: "What's Up Baby," "Class in Session," "Tear the Club Up" and "Back Dat Ass Up." Class' album "Alameda & ColdSpring," named after the intersection in East Baltimore where he grew up, hits shelves and Web sites in June. In the meantime, you'll hear him on the radio in "I'm the Shit," boasting about the diamonds on his neck and Patron in his cup. A remix of "I'm the Shit" with the always-humble Kanye West is available on iTunes.
