B-more's punk and hardcore scene has deep roots that go back to the late '70s and '80s when the likes of Ian MacKaye and Hank Rollins were coming up from D.C. to pummel the crowd at the storied Marble Bar. Baltimore looks a lot different now, but the punk and hardcore scene is still thriving, with at least two dedicated hardcore record stores, countless bands, and clubs packed with fans waiting to have their eardrums burst wide open. Love never looked this alive.
