9. “Superbad” (2007)

Pity the teens who had to deal with “Porky’s” or “American Pie” as their era-defining sex comedy and envy those who wound up with “Superbad,” a sweetly raunchy little movie about friendship, growing up and getting laid. Terrific chemistry between Jonah Hill and Michael Cera, scene-stealing work from first-timer (or is that virgin performer?) Christopher Mintz-Plasse and the blessing of über-producer Judd Apatow made this much more than just a “one crazy night” comedy.
