It’s only fitting that one of the finest high school comedies ever made is all about ditching class. Freewheeling Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick), his morose best friend Cameron (Alan Ruck) and smokin’ hot girlfriend Sloane (Mia Sara) spend the day in a way most teens, and adults, only dream of: doing anything they damn well please. John Hughes is the recognized king of ‘80s teen comedies and “Ferris” shows us the filmmaker at his most playful. Ferris is all about having fun, don’t even bother trying to resist.
