Great food and Great Prices. The crab cakes are by far the largest and best tasting I have ever had. All of their food is delicious. Huge selection of seafood, steaks, and pasta. Huge portions. You must try out Romanos and see what I mean. You WILL be ranting and raving about this place as well.

Food is good but alcohol is way too expensive for a small neighborhood bar. Liquor prices rival downtown night club prices. There are a whole bunch of other local bars right near Merritt House with much more reasonable drink prices

Howards is a staple of the Linthicum community. Family atmosphere with many regulars, Been coming here over thirty years, food is always fresh, tasty and I have never had a bad meal here and the price's are reasonable. The owners and staff make sure everyone feels welcome and it's a place you can take kids of any age to. GREAT !

Vernisage is one of our favorite restaurants. The owners and wait staff couldn't be nicer, they make you feel like family. Start your meal with the delicious hot, Ukranian Borsht, Siberian Pelmeni and/or Salad Kavkaz. Don't forget a carafe of chilled vodka accompanied by pickled mini tomatoes. Some of our favorite entrees are grilled lamb chops, escalope of pork, Chilean Sea Bass and their signature dish, stuffed chicken (must be ordered 4 days in advance ). For dessert, we cannot pass on the light, flaky, freshly prepared Napoleon. On weekends, your dinner reservations may coincide with a birthday party or some other celebration. Go ahead, get up and dance to the live music. You'll feel like you're one of the party's guests.

Racer's has more craft brews and out-of-the-ordinary brews than any place around. It is the locals' place to get what you won't find on tap anywhere else. Enjoy free peanuts which you are welcomed to drop the shells on the floor, have your beer, watch the TVs, and have a good time. Service is excellent, you won't have to deal with a bunch of BS to get a beer. Tip Skip well, he will earn your respect, and will keep your beverages coming cold, frothy, and delicious. THE place if you're tired of Budweiser swill, and want to drink some artfully crafted brews.
PyroLogiK wrote about The Emerald Tavern
I have loved "The Em" since I turned 21. What can I say bad about the place? Nothing. There is a full bar, the prices are not jacked up, the staff are some of the most friendly people you can find at a bar, the food is top notch, and the beer selection is incredible, especially what's on draft. If you like craft beers, you're in luck. Saturday nights are always incredible, and there's almost always a band.. and the musicians are unbelievable! They only book the best local bands because that's what we come to expect at the one and only Emerald Tavern. If you know how to have a good time, enjoy the best bands Maryland has to offer, this is the place to have your night out!
PyroLogiK wrote about Buffalo Wings and Beer
I have never seen an entire place full of customers who were flaming mad at the horrible service, or lack thereof. The 3 people who were 'working' there were so incredibly drunk they were unable to even pour a glass of beer or stand up straight. The one bartender was holding the female bartender's head on the bar and forcibly pouring vodka down her throat til she coughed and choked. They also were unable to work a basic touch-screen tabbing system and screwed up every tab in the place, adding drinks to tabs they were not ordered on (probably trying to cover up the fact that they drank at least 2 full bottles of high-end vodka in the short time I was there). Often, there was not one of the 'employees' to be found anywhere. When someone had a problem with their massively over-charged tab, the one guy went out to smoke and then disappeared. There were periods of 30 minutes or more when no employees were to be found. A friend presented a five dollar bill for a 2 dollar drink and never received change, when an employee was finally back in the place, they just handed her a beer and magically it was added to someone else's tab in our party. They even allowed customers, who just so happen to have been their personal friends, behind the bar to swig out of the liquor bottles (right in front of all the paying customers). Also, bartenders should probably not cough loud, choking blows into their hands while trying to remain upright and pour you the kind of beer you did not ask for. It is, and has been an absolute disgrace of an establishment and I am shocked they have not been shut down. No one would have been there had the band not been one with a very loyal local following. My advice is, this is not the first time Buffalo Wings & Beer has been an amazing disgrace, but please save yourself from such a scarring experience, and go to any of the dozens of other bars around the Harford Road area which also have bands on Saturday nights. On another note, they will nickel and dime you any time or day of the week... fries cost $2 more on any entree, soda's are charged per glass... no refills... every little thing will cost you money at this crummy joint. Please, don't support a business that allows such horribly disgusting, unsanitary service.

What's not to like about Milano"s? The pizza, greek salad, spanakopita, and the tallest cheesecake you've ever seen were very, very good. Our server, Baby, was the best. Ask for her. The daily specials are good. I will stack their crab cakes up against any around. All the staff are very friendly and there is ample parking.

My personal Cheers. I love the fact that everyone is freindly to everyone. No matter who you are, or what you look like. Everyone has one common goal "TO HAVE FUN!" and fun is had. On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays they have LIVE BANDS (www.myspace.com/raidlive) And every Thursday night they have GAME NIGHT with live bands and crazy games for all the patrons to participate in for silly prizes. Just a great environment. I love this place.

Cantonpride wrote about Canton's Portside Tavern
Portside has everything one looks for in a city bar. It has a small warm but friendly atmosphere which draws heavy local crowds, but is no less friendly to tourists and county drinkers. Bar tenders figure you name out swifly and know what you are drinking. Early in the evening, Portside makes a great date destination with Dave Mathews or Phish on the tunes games on the TV's, but later becomes a small, very inebriated dance party. During lacrosse season, Portside is the primary bar to watch the games. Dinner is bar fare and is good, but not quite gourmet, but is priced accordingly. Also, no shortage of good looking clientel. If you are in Canton, walk one block past the square and check it out.
OregonNick wrote about JD's Smokehouse
I have been going to JD's for a couple of years now; at periods, I was going regularly. In fact, right now is one such period. In the article reviewing JD's, they mention the inconsistent cooking of the burgers. For the first several times we dined here, the burgers were magical. Big, fresh-seeming patties, lots of toppings on a huge roll. Then they went for the same kind of hamburgers you get served at a little league concession stand- frozen 1/4 lb. piece of crap with scarce toppings. However, the allure of $2.00 for anything on tap for three happy hours drew us back recently, with friends. The burgers weren't as great as they had been, but they were passable and for the cost? Our friends took to it. They invited us back recently and the burgers have been as good as ever. Go JD's.

Terrific meal and a lovely atmosphere. The dining room is a simple, uncluttered, open space with wood floors and lots of space between tables, yet the lush golden wallcoverings and crystal chandeliers evoke a hint of the Russia known for exquisite, lavish jewels, art and places. The place was empty on a Sunday evening -- apparently mid-day Sunday is a more popular time for dining here -- but that only meant that we got the full attention of the owner who guided us to some of her favorite choices. My lamb chops were tender and grilled to perfection and others enjoyed an enormous crabcake, beef stroganoff and a traditional Russian pork and potato stew. The entrees were accompanied with vegetables, prepared simply but cooked to the perfect degree of tenderness, rice, sauce and pickles. A great mix of delicious, fresh and tangy. Start with one of the enormous salads and share it. The Salad Kavkaz provided five small helpings and it was excellent. Save room for dessert. The Napolean is unusually light and airy, making it a perfect finish for the meal. A great choice for a multi-generational family meal.

rocket's doesnt have MUCH on the menu, & to some people the food may seem strange but the few things from there i get are pretty much my favorite foods, ever. you have got to try the rotini & cheese, the sautee'd green beans, & the wimpies. the fries are so good, as well. unlike any ive ever had. i love the atmosphere. sometimes the staff can be annoying & snobby but most of them are awesome. definitly make a reservation if you are going for dinner on the weekend. during the week, its really hit or miss. but i highly reccomend this place!!!
shanlynn86 wrote about Angelo's Carry Out
i live literally right down the street, so angelos is very convenient for me. their sausage pizza is delicious, however it does taste different from time to time. their cheesesteaks are also delicious but there is totally not enough meat on them. ask for extra meat! they always seem so busy but the wait is never very long. also, i dont think their 'largest slice' is good at all. their regular pizza is MUCH better.
