I recently visited Sanders for a business lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with the Lunch Specials they had. I was daring and ordered one of the Specials, Crab Imperial, and it was excellent. I was glad the server suggested it. I wish I would have had room for dessert, because we were told that they were homemade. On my next visit, I may just have to start with dessert! The service was great and the view was breathtaking. I'm planning on returning soon.

This wine bar is filling a needed void in Hampden and the menu is certainly serviceable, but the atmosphere is excessively noisy and the night we were there, it was extra warm. I'd definitely return, though.

captom wrote about Aldo's

Six of us came to Aldo's. We knew it was pricey but it was a special occasion. Though there were plenty of empty tables, it took 30 minutes to seat us. The waiter came and he was very slow and inattentive---we had a view of the bar and he was constantly going there to talke to the bartender leaving big gaps between ordering drinks, appetizers, and our meal. It took 40 minutes after ordering to serve the meal. The waiter forgot an appeteizer. We had to actively get up from our seat to get the check. The food was above average but not exceptional for the prices. The "special occassion" celebration was overpriced and annoying (adding insult to injury was the mandated 19% tip for 6 or more). If you are going to spend that kind of money, go somewhere else and get your money's worth---not Aldos.

The Fullmoon Pub located in reisterstown md is the coolest pub around the area, by far. The beer selection is outstanding and the food is tastey with large portions. there is a smoking area located on the back of a large outside deck. There mojitos are made from scratch and there coctails are wonderful and worth paying for. The staff is friendly and attentive. I love this place.

Everyone needs to know that in the last 2 years, new owners have bought this place. They have hired a new cook and the food is not just bar food anymore. They have great mussels and the steaks are terrific. They also care about cleanliness and good customer service. It is the greatest place around to watch football and the crabs are the best and they have them all year long. They could win a Baltimore's best crab cakes too!

My boyfriend and I saw The Importance of Being Earnest last night at Center Stage in the Pearlstone Theatre and it was a great show. The talented cast will make sure your evening is full of laughs with this clever play. Center Stage is a great place to watch plays with parking directly across the street for only $5 after 4pm Kellie Bernavage

At the recommendation of my hair cutter who lives in the neighborhood, we stopped in at Peter's for a brew and bite. What a great little place! We ordered small plates, which included a salad, a cheese plate and PEI mussel cooked with saffron. It was all very well prepared, and the mussels were some of the best we have ever had. It's a small place and doesn't take reservations, so it gets crowded after 7.

Underage server couldn't touch wine, much less suggest a replacement for what I'd ordered and they were out of. Small portion of food, overpriced and temperature challenged. Hang dog looking staff. I agree with the chipped plate thing. I got a dried out piece of cake on a small square white plate with two chips on the corner. Just an overall blechhhh kinda experience that I will not be repeating.

We read the reviews on several sites and decided this would be nice to eat at the theater. No rushing in any way. However, the cafe is just not as pictured and is certainly not Romantic as this site indicates. We found the decor and layout of counters and overall ordering area to be less than eye appealing. The food was similar to eat at Starbucks or any counter cafe. While it fit the need to eat before the show. We will have much lower expectations in the future. There was only 1 person to take orders and she seemed ruffled. But the food was quick and servers greeted us with smiles and offers of glasses of water. ..but I would expect salads and sandwiches to be quick. I imagine everything being prepared ahead and just dished up. The atmosphere might lend it's self to a cool case with the food in containers and a microwave if you want to warm anything. If the cafe wishes to portray a different image, some work needs to be done. It just looks like a forgotten space all together. No thought, no effort. What a disappointment.............it could be so much nicer with just a small amount of effort.

MaureenMM wrote about Woodstock Inn

In addition to being a relaxed neighborhood tavern/bar - this place serves surprisingly good food. The seafood is excellent and you won't find a better burger around. The happy hour and karaoke are a lot of fun. This place has a great reputation as a biker bar (and the bike shows are cool) but it's worth checking out as a local place for some relaxed nightlife, a fun dinner out or a great place to stop by for lunch if you're out riding your Harley or your horse (they have actual hitching posts - The Woodstock is also along a horseback riding trail). They have a DJ and live music and comedians from time to time too.

This is a very nice resturant. Should do more advertising to keep it going. The food was excellent and the waiter was the best. Sorry forgot his name. Would go back again and I have told friends about how nice it is. Hope to see you soon.

thehungryi wrote about A Little Bit of Tuscany

The service was attentive and welcoming. Generally, the food was OK, but lacked the depth and development that one expects from Italian food. There was nothing we tasted that exceeded expectations in any way, but some of it was tasty. I'm not sure how much time they have actually spent in Tuscany, but judging by the meager use of olive oil I wouldn't expect much. The lack of an economical wine on the menu was disappointing. There is somewhat of an arrogance from the staff regarding this. While the wine selection was good, the food was not up to par with it. I think the owners should pull back on their attempt to have "gourmet" Italian cuisine and focus on more of the ambiance of the place. it could be a lot more fun. It was a cute and well decorated dining room, but the view of the kitchen gave it more of a sub shop feel. We really don't need to see the fluorescent light fixtures in the kitchen. I think it's close to being a nice "mom & pop" place, but the prices vs. level of cuisine pull it back.
