Neighborhood guide: Butchers Hill
Butchers Hill is a quiet enclave with stately rowhouses and tree-lined streets.

For those who find Canton or Federal Hill a bit too noisy on the weekends, East Baltimore's Butchers Hill is a fine alternative. With quiet, attractive streets, and Patterson Park on one side, the neighborhood offers city life without the commotion. Although there are few restaurants and bars here, they are among the city's best--especially Salt.
