Pretty Things Peepshow at Black Hole

Burlesque cuties and sideshow acts entertain

While doors opened at 8 p.m., Black Hole's night of burlesque on April 30 didn't start until after 10 p.m. The long delay gave people time to relax and enjoy a drink or three before the show. Almost on cue, a crowd shuffled in just before Angelica Insectavora took the stage.

The night's show consisted of Bettina May, go-go Amy (pictured), Angelica Insectavora and, a local sensation, The World Famous Penguin Boy. Having seen the show once or twice before, Metromix was a bit disappointed that more of the group's performers weren't part of the show. Insectavora did a wonderful job hosting, while Bettina May and go-go Amy stole the show with their burlesque acts.
