Baltimoreans fly the freak flag at outdoor festival
Credit:Holden Warren
Baltimore's Intertribal Pow Wow 2009 congregated behind the Port Covington Wal-Mart Sunday, May 11. The original date was rained out, but this time festival organizers enjoyed the perfect weather they'd hoped for the first time around. The festival benefited the Arabber Preservation Society, with food, beer, music and an opportunity for Baltimoreans to fly the freak flag Burning Man-style. The ever-present Santa Dads brought the heat, Plans Plans brought the love and cops brought batons. There was no strife, though. Honestly, we think the fuzz just wanted to hang out.—Holden Warren
