If you happen to have a fondness for your across-the-alley neighbors and hope to remain on fairly good terms, you may not want to invite them to join you on a Ravenchase Adventure.

The specific Ravenchase Adventure in question—chasing the Improbable Heart of Gold (a Tribute to Douglas Adams)—took place on Saturday, Aug. 30 (and the following day in Philadelphia, but we skipped the second day of the race). Metromix couldn't pass up this opportunity to spend the day running around Druid Hill Park in bathrobes, especially because we requested a "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"-themed race way back in March.

So, The Metromix Marvins (named in honor of Adams' depressed robot whom nobody ever listens to) grabbed our towels, stuck out our electronic thumbs and journeyed to the wilds of the Baltimore City park. Much head-scratching, name-calling and cursing ensued.

Read on to see how we fared on our adventure.
