When conjuring images of the lanes, some people might think of a place where guys named Louie and Earl swill brewskis and smoke cheap cigars while trading off-color remarks with like-shirted buddies. But things are different now. With the opening of Mustang Alley's and other lanes adding Rock 'n' Bowl nights, an evening spent knocking down pins is a nice alternative to hanging at a bar. At a bowling alley, you can drink and throw things. At a bar, well, you can drink. Plus, there's the added thrill of wearing someone else's shoes. What's not to love?
And in case you hadn't noticed, this is Baltimore, hon, home of duckpin bowling. Show some hometown pride and have a Natty Boh while you roll those little balls down the lane.
