You can't see Greg and Dave's game faces, but believe us: They were on.

Having already covered February's Cupid Sucks event, we knew this four-hour foot race was going to be challenging (even though this one was described as beginner-intermediate). Team members must decipher various riddles, anagrams and puzzles to earn silly prizes and reach the ultimate goal: A booze-filled post-hunt party. So, naturally, we pre-gamed by studying lists of Federal Hill bars.
Before Team Metromix could embark on our St. Patty-themed adventure, we had to decipher the first clue, a rhyme about a wooden sentry near the "flag of the land of the free." A five-minute Google search later, we had our first answer: The Pride of Baltimore monument at Federal Hill Park would be our meeting point.
Since I deciphered the starter clue, I figured I could coast through the rest of the race and let my teammates do the heavy thinking. Luckily, in addition to myself, the teammates included Dave Alexander (on loan from Baltimoresun.com), Greg Crouse (a Metromix.com relative) and Dan Kelly (a Metromix.com salesman)—all affable white guys who should have some intrinsic knowledge of all things Irish, right? Wait a minute. Did that make me the weakest link?
Find out if victory was ours...
