When warm weather hits, it's tough to stay all cooped up at our regular hang outs. Sorry, guys, it's not you. It's us. Really. And it's not forever. We just want to experiment a little. You know, see some other bars. Maybe some with outdoor seating. Don't worry, it won't mean a thing. Promise. And once summer ends, we'll come back. You'll wait for us, right?

Ale Mary's
1939 Fleet St. -
Baltimore
Sometimes traffic on Fleet Street can get a little rumbly, but that doesn't typically detract from the allure of Ale Mary's. The casual atmosphere, the relaxed staff and the wide sidewalk make for a great spot to lounge.
Bay Cafe
2809 Boston St. - BaltimoreFor better or worse, Bay Cafe remains the shortest distance between Ocean City and Baltimore. When work's been rough and you just have to get your toes in some sand, head to Canton and save yourself a three-hour drive.
Della Rose's
1501 S. Clinton St. - BaltimoreDR's Canton location celebrates summer in the most American of ways--with a backyard barbecue. Every Friday, Della Rose's fires up the grill and fires up happy hour.
grand cru
527 E. Belvedere Ave. - BaltimoreFor an upscale al fresco happy hour, consider a couple bottles of vino at grand cru. If you can't take the heat, don't worry. Cru's knowledgeable 'tenders will suggest something light and refreshing.
Hard Rock Café Baltimore
601 E. Pratt St. - BaltimoreYou'd be hard-pressed to find better people-watching than the tourist-laden throngs that wander Harborplace. Not our first choice, but always entertaining.
James Joyce Irish Pub and Restaurant
616 President St. -
Baltimore
Though it seems geared more toward dining, the tables on James Joyce's patio are a good pre-movie pre-gaming spot.
Little Havana Restaurante y Cantina
1325A Key Highway -
Baltimore
Popular for a whole host of reasons, Little Havana's sunshine-filled deck is perhaps its foremost draw, ahead of shuffleboard, billiards and the bangingest mojitos in town.
Mex
26 Market Place -
Baltimore
Forget sunshine. During late night, the picnic tables outside Mex provide a National Geographic-esque perspective on the dating scene. Informative and comical.
Nick's Fish House
2600 Insulator Drive -
Baltimore
Nick's has pretty much everything sun-worshipping happy hour seekers could need: Parking, live music, crabs and beer.
Peters Pour House
111 Mercer St. - BaltimoreSometimes eclipsed by the tall buildings of downtown Baltimore, the sun occasionally trickles down to Peters' happy hour crowd. The hour is no less happy, though, since 32-ounce Miller Lites and Yeunglings are just $4.
Pickles Pub
520 Washington Blvd. - BaltimoreAlong With Slider's, there's no better place to pre-game an actual game than Pickles. Pile in with the rest of the fans and down some home team spirits.
The Pickled Parrot
3020 Elliott St. - BaltimoreOnce that whole no smoking thing happened, the Parrot created an outdoor space suitable for nic-fit fixes. Smoking? Evs. We're more partial to the foos ball table. Goooooooooooooooooooooooal!
Red Brick Station Restaurant & Brew Pub
8149 Honeygo Blvd. - White MarshWe could take or leave Red Brick's brews. They're OK, you know, but not awesome. When we do take them, we often take them out to the patio to watch teenyboppers and mommies wander the Avenue.
Shuckers Restaurant & Bar
1629 Thames St. -
Baltimore
Shuckers is kind of obligatory on these types of lists. It's hard to exclude a venue with such a sweet location, so we won't.
