Across the globe, countries have been making beer way longer than us 'mericans, and they've bottled more than a few tasty triumphs. With Baltimore's imported beer happy hours, you'll feel like a bona fide globetrotter. Stamp your beer swillin' passport with Heineken, Amstel, Guinness, Harp, New Castle, Sapporo, Corona and more, but be warned: the ensuing fuzzy-headedness isn't jet lag. If you get a little homesick along the way, go ahead and order that conciliatory Boh. But for now, let this list be your guide.

Carlos O'Charlie's
3508 Eastern Ave. - BaltimoreThe best thing about Carlos O'Charlie's is its split personality. During happy hour, enjoy $1 domestic drafts and $2.50 import drafts. Half-priced onion rings, mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, nachos and quesadillas are also available.
Charles Village Pub
19 W. Pennsylvania Ave. - BaltimoreIt's not much, but any sort of happy hour is a good end to the weekend. Sundays feature $2 Amstel Lights and $2 Heineken.
Dead Freddies
7209 Harford Road - BaltimoreEven if you're imbibing some European brews, you can still abide by the American ideal that more is better. So forget mugs or bottles: Dead Freddie's gives you imported brews for $3.75 in mini-pitchers. And this happy hour is more like a happy half-day: it starts before noon.
Elliott's Pour House
3728 Hudson St. - BaltimoreIf it's Tuesday and drafts aren't an option, the Pour House will help keep you out of the poor house while still permitting you those classy, un-American brews. All night, too.
The Rec Room
512 York Road - TowsonDuring Thursday import night, your highbrow brews are just $2.50. Now you can look classy for less. Try the SoCo and lime shots, too. They can be a great way to get some conversation started--slurred, pointlesss, rambling conversation.
Red Star
906 S. Wolfe St. -
Baltimore
For three hours it's $3: choose from $3 drafts (domestic and imported), house wines and rail drinks.
