Ladies and gentlemen, step right up
November 13, 2008
The Most Interesting Show in the World took place at the Recher Theatre on Nov. 13. Despite rain, people came out for this festive Dos Equis-sponsored event. The night started at 7:30, when revelers began devouring everything in the VIP section, which was filled with treats and drinks from the Mexican brewery. The event was hosted by Seattle's Jim Rose, whose energy entertained the crowd. Then there was Johnny Fayva, who comes across as a mash up of Elvis and Evil Knieval. Fayva displayed his very unique tolerance for pain by having his hand caught in a raccoon trap. The greatest show on earth wouldn't really be that great without a contortionist, and Lilia Stepanova was most definitely worth the cost of admission (which was free, by the way). Stepanova was an extreme shape-shifter who wooed the crowd with her movements. The Show also featured great performances by Melody Sweets, Leonid "The Magnificent," Mark "The Knife" Faje and The Amazing Kenichi.—Fred Davis
