Quigley's Half-Irish Pub

While the decor, waiters, and food was good, a couple of things definitely disappointed me about this near-the-stadium bar. For one, it did not open until 6pm on a Saturday. For two they only had one beer on tap, which featured the name of the bar. While the beer was passable I expect when I go to an Irish bar that you at least be able to serve me a Guinness. I don't know if that is permanent or a trial thing, but at least give me options.
Also, while I found the owner to be rather standoffish, what was most disturbing to me about this bar is that they were serving UNDER AGE students. I know for a fact that at least four of "women" I met at the bar, all of whom were completely wasted, were juniors in HIGH SCHOOL. That's not only illegal, but makes for a unsettling experience.
I recently celebrated my birthday at Quigley's with 40 of my closest friends. Jim and the staff went out of their way to make it a great night. Its easy to get to from most city neighborhoods and close for those people coming into the city from the 'burbs. I've heard nothing but compliments on Quigley's great food, reasonable prices, and wonderful service. Its such a great bar!
Report This ReviewBest thing about this bar (besides the variety of oversized 22oz beers) is the complimentary bowl of cheese balls sprinkled with old bay that awaits you.
Report This ReviewQuigley's is such a great neighborhood bar that we walk a mile from our own neighborhood just to hang out there. Great atmosphere and the owner is always around to make sure everyone's having a good time. The big windows open to the street make it a prime location in the summer evenings.
