Wonderful Evening - great neighborhood bar with a lot of history.

While visiting our daughter I walked past this wonderfully-redone corner pub and frankly had to step inside due to good vibes that poured out onto the sidewalk and the fine woodworking visible from the street. I was welcomed with open arms that embraced me even when I told the neighborhood clientele - rabid Ravens fans - that I am a Steeler guy. Yeah, that put the conversation on a new level. This is a special place where Canton and Fells Point meet. If you are an out-of-towner, as I was, and you really want an unvarnished look at one of America's great cities, you can be schooled here on the history of the neighborhood and Baltimore from a local chimney sweep, a wonderful woman who has worked at McCormick spice for 35 years, and newly arrived immigrants. They grill on the sidewalk before Raven's games. I will return.

This place is all heavy metal and rude boys. They all suck but it's almost like they try to suck. Drinks are cheap and the bartenders are mildly entertaining.
I wouldn't bring my parents or girlfriends but other than that, it's a good time.
