Great Little Secret in Canton
By aknott3 from Canton, July 17, 2009

While it may take you up to 30 minutes to get seated in this cozy corner bar in Canton, the food is well worth the wait. I've had their chicken salad sandwich and their BBQ Burger and both were amazing. Definitely get the Sweet Potato Fries. Best I've ever had. The Ravens Purple Cocktail is amazing too... very strong, so beware! All in all, great restaurant and definitely worth trying.

Without a doubt, my favorite in Baltimore.

The title of my review says it all. I love this restaurant. I have been on multiple occasions (one being Valentine's Day) and I have never been disappointed. The service is excellent; friendly, expeditious and attentive. The atmosphere captures the feeling of one of Poe's poems without being overwhelming or cheesy. The food is creative and interesting without being pretentious or superfluous. I suggest the Rosemary-Beef Tenderloin Gyro. Pair this with a Resurrection from the tap and you're set. This place is simply outstanding. What are you waiting for?! Go already!

Fries for dessert

Everything at Annabel Lee is superb - even the ladies' room. For an offbeat but delicious dessert, I'd order the sweet and creamy sweet potato fries tossed in honey butter and brown sugar. The crispier smaller cut ones are phenomenal.

Surprisingly Evokes Cravings

I went here beased on a friends recommendations with my boyfriend and another couple. We all split 2 appetizers (order the tuna au poivre!) and each order an entree. Not only is the menu reasonably priced, everything we ordered was fantastic. I can't wait to go back.

Great Food - friendly folks

I'm hesitant to praise this place-- kinda want to keep the secret to myself. It's a small place in Canton and snatching up a table or spot at the bar gets dicey sometimes. But it's definately worth it -- the food is fantastic and the people who work there are great!

With so many great bar/food options in Fells Point, I don't leave my neighborhood for much, but I'll hike it over to the other side of the park for this place. I have cravings for those sweet potato fries...

Annabel Lee Tavern is a good little neighborhood bar. They have a limited but great draft selection. The quality beer makes a visit to the bar worth it.
