Tasting Scotch and whiskey in Fells Point

The word "institution" is thrown around freely these days. You'll find that lots of places around Baltimore consider themselves "institutions." Birds of a Feather in Fells Point does not, though it deserves the moniker more than most. After 27 years, multiple recessions, the gentrification of Fells Point and the death of one of its co-owners, Birds of a Feather continues to preach the gospel according to Scotch and give readings from the book of whiskey six days a week.
Now, Metromix doesn't claim to know everything about Scotch or whiskey, but we do have enough damn sense to know rot gut from a 21-year-old single malt. That said, these tasting notes will be crude at best and dangerously unappreciative at worst.
