The entrepreneurs who converted this warehouse like building into a rock club created quite a sensation. It's the feline's meow for people yearning for a plethora of independent and alternative music. The Black Cat is like the Disney World of punk clubs, with a full-sized bar and lounge, two show spaces and a constant string of shows and events; they always have something to offer. The club has a large main stage area upstairs where the big bands play and a bar downstairs with pinball, pool and booths for seating. Cooks serve vegan and vegetarian foods in a quiet room called Food for Thought. Next to the bar is the nearly hidden Backstage that holds smaller shows along with spoken word, film and other events.

Moustache friendly hangouts
Moustaches. They're amazing. And while most people are accepting of your facial hair choices, truly epic lip fur may get you disapproving stares at some of D.C.'s more trendy locations. Here's a list of places that won't frown upon a hairy smile.
