I've been a patron of Ropewalk for years now, even when I moved out of the city. Yes, it certainly is a Republican establishment, even to the point of not carrying Grey Goose vodka because it's French. However, the staff is personable, the food's great and the atmosphere is a cool mix of laid back professionals and beer-chugging twenty-somethings. I'd highly recommend this bar to visitors and locals alike.
