Vibe:
This is a damn good dive bar with excellent live music and an eclectic crowd. Anything goes in Full Moon Saloon's long, dark, narrow hall. Pound shots at the bar up front and dance with your sweetie by the stage in the back. Nothing could be more romantic than the wall-sized black and white mural of a blood-thirsty, slobbering wolf howling at a full moon.

Crowd: Once you walk through the door, it might take a second or two to get your bearings. Surrounded by attractive young professionals and perhaps some of the guys who just asked you for change while you were parking; all walks of life take a beer and blues break at the Full Moon.

Libations: Two words: Gator Piss. This house special is a flavorful green shooter. The recipe is closely guarded behind the bar. It's also hard to pass up $1.50 PBRs all night, every night.

Sounds: The live acts are just as dank and funky as the bar itself. There's live blues and rock performances nightly -- acoustic guitarists sit at the bar up front early, and larger groups plug in on stage later. Make sure you check out Thursday night regulars, Old Man Brown, for some of the best blues in Baltimore.

Service: A small staff with a huge heart, the bartenders learn your name quickly making you feel welcome among the mayhem.

Bottom Line: If you've got the blues or you're looking for the blues, this is the place.
