Certainly, any place with "Camden" in the name invokes thoughts of the Orioles, and Camden Pub lives up to its O's-centric name. Around the corner from the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, pre-game activities at this cozy neighborhood sports hang set the bar to buzzing when the Orioles and Ravens are home. With a restaurant on one side and a bar on the other, the bar is perfect whether you just want to grab a few drinks before or after the game or a bite to eat from its pub-style menu.

Drinks: Attracting college kids, business men and game-attendees, Camden Pub's hopping happy hour offers up $5 domestic pitchers and $1 domestic pints. Muster more team spirit with a variety of $5 bombs, including Jager, cherry and Irish, or imbibe more sporty concoctions like the Ravens-inspired purple wave.

Decor: The walls of Camden Pub bleed Baltimore sports. From pictures of the Bambino to memorabilia from Baltimore sports legends Cal Ripken and Johnny U, the collection is practically shrine-like. Campden Pub is by no means snooty; its small size and simple, discreet décor give it a quaint neighborhood bar feel.

On the restaurant side, simple, dark green, wood-lined tables rest on a tiled floor. Pub-side, the big screen TV makes it easy to watch the game while enjoying some food and drinks. If you prefer, umbrellaed seats line the sidewalk along Pratt Street.

Crowd: The Camden Pub attracts an eclectic and friendly bunch comprised mostly of sports fans. Happy hours and weekend nights draw an array of people. College kids, 20- and 30-something businessmen and locals share space here.

Insider tips: Nothing goes better with beer than wings, except for maybe crabs. At Camden Pub you can have the best of both worlds. Try the famous Baltimore wings, because Old Bay never disappoints.

Bottom line: Fans in search of a simple sports bar before or after the game, during happy hour or on a Saturday night will feel comfortable at this small neighborhood bar.
