Sure, Charm City Art Space is basically a rowhouse basement in a shitty part of town—it's cramped, smells like a week-old crust punk, has a perpetually bunched carpet and one of the lowest and most unforgiving ceilings in Baltimore—but it is the best DIY venue in town. The Art Space mixes it up with a variety of local and touring punk, hardcore, grind and metal bands. There is local art upstairs, a lounge area and a good crowd.
